Ultimate Oil Catch Can for your VW MK II, III, IV
Ultimate is a strong word. Claiming that your latest creation is "the ultimate" of anything gives the word even more power. It takes some serious confidence and a gross lack of modesty to advertise a product as the best there ever was, is, and will be. We're not claiming victory, but we are confident that we have created an oil catch can that stands above the rest, in very relative terms.
Built to function, our ultimate can accomplishes the fundamental job of an oil catch can without any additional thought or modification. Bead rolled inlet and outlet fittings allow connection of 3/4" tubing. Inside, four filter screens create a maze for the PCV gases to navigate allowing oil droplets to collect as lighter gasses pass. Gravity lends a hand, collecting the oil and gunk at the bottom of the can. A bottom drain allows the can to be drained at any time.
Beyond the basics, our ultimate can offers an industrial look and features found nowhere else. A built-in dipstick, sealed with a viton o-ring, allows you to check the fluid level of your tank at any time. The 2-piece design of our oil catch can allows the inlet and outlet fittings to point in 6 different directions for installation in any engine bay. Our lid offers 6 mounting points, ready to accept a mounting bracket at any rotation of the catch can. Included with the ultimate can are two cnc machined mounting brackets. One bracket allows for the can to be bolted to a horizontal surface. The other allows for the can to be bolted to a vertical surface. Both brackets can be flipped, modified, or even bolted together if necessary.
When it comes time for maintenence, the ultimate can be disassembled for simple cleaning. Throughout the life of the can, the filter media will never need to be replaced. Tubing can be removed and re-installed from our fittings without ever damaging them. The o-rings provided are designed to stand up to oil and heat and may never need replacement. The entire catch can is built with precision from heavy duty materials proven to stand the test of time. We can't call it bulletproof (who shoots a catch can?) but we do call it ultimate.

VW Mk5/Mk6 FSI/TSI 3" Down Pipes
Bolt-on more horsepower, torque and boost response!When designing the 2.0T FSI & TSI motors VW thankfully increased the size of the K03 turbocharger. Unfortunately they designed the downpipe like a brick wall. Rule #1 in turbocharger theory is reduce backpressure at the turbo discharge. With the factory downpipe installed, exhaust gases exit the turbo and wastegate only to meet a dense catalytic converter. By increasing the size of the piping to 3" and moving the catalytic converter further away from the turbo, exhaust gases can mix naturally and develop momentum before being filtered through the catalytic converter. The result is useable power and torque throughout the powerband, quicker throttle and boost response.
Starting at the turbo, a CNC machined flange allows gases to merge naturally into a tight radius bend. The second bend transitions the downpipe neatly through the exhaust tunnel, separated by a stainless steel flex section. Underneath the car, a custom tabbed flange and CNC machined hanger assembly allow the downpipe to be supported by the factory hangers. Bolting to this flange, a Magnaflow 200 cell metal catalytic converter takes care of harmful emissions without creating a restriction. Along the way, precisely placed oxygen sensor bungs allow for factory fitment of the oxygen sensors on both FSI and TSI motors. Exiting the catalytic converter, a long offset pipe meets an adaptor allowing precise fitment to the factory cat-back exhaust. Double layer graphite gaskets and grade 5 locking hardware keeps everything tight.
The modular nature of our 3" downpipe allows for changes to be made at any time without cutting or welding. On race day, the catalytic converter can be easily removed and replaced with a test pipe. Is your aftermarket cat-back exhaust too loud? Our offset pipe can be replaced with a resonated pipe at any time. The stock cat-back adaptor can be replaced with a 2.5" or 3" adaptor, or a bolt-on cat-back system. (coming soon of course)
Our 3" downpipe is currently available in 4 configurations. Street series systems include a Magnaflow catalytic converter. Race series systems include a test pipe. When an aftermarket high-flow catalytic converter is used on a late model car it’s common to see a CEL (Check Engine Light) come and go. This CEL is usually backed by a fault code that indicates a failed cat. If your new cat is NEW, how could it have failed? Behind the scenes, the factory ECU is comparing the readings from a pair of oxygen sensors to measure the effectiveness of the cat. When a high-flow cat is used the exhaust gases are able to pass by the cat at a much faster rate, disrupting the readings. Our o2 sensor spacer retracts the second oxygen sensor from the direct flow of gases, restoring the balance that the ECU requires when using a high-flow cat.
Our O2 Sensor Spacer is CNC machined from cold roll steel & grade 8.8 metric hardware. After assembly, our spacer undergoes a zinc dichromate plating process which protects the spacer from corrosion. Installation is plug & play. Simply thread in our spacer, thread in the rear o2 sensor, and lock the spacer at the desired angle.
